Euro 2020, officially known as the UEFA European Football Championship 2020, was the 16th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship. It was scheduled to take place from 12 June to 12 July 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was postponed until 11 June to 11 July 2021. The tournament was hosted by 11 cities across Europe, with the final being held at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The tournament featured 24 teams and a total of 51 matches were played. Italy emerged as the champions, defeating England on penalties in the final.
